Accommodation and Meals
You will stay in a hunting lodge owned by the National Park of Tara. The house was recently entirely renovated and consists of 4 self contained apartments, each with two beds, modern en-suite bathroom and a kitchenette. The bed linen is provided. The guests also benefit form a large communal room. Equipped with a kitchen and a long table it is perfect for sharing photos of the day, a cup of tea or a glass of wine. You can stay up chatting until small hours should you wish to do so. The communal living area is situated well away from the private rooms/apartments, so there is no danger of disturbing other guests should you wish to stay up into the wee small hours of the morning! Be careful though, don't forget to be up on time for the next day's walk!
You will have breakfast and dinner in a local tavern - "kafana" in Serbian. In the cozy ambiance we find the traditional cuisine at its best. Homemade yogurt and
white cheese, corn bread and smoked ham, variety of salads and grilled fresh fish.
For those who prefer a more hearty meal, there is a choice of sumptuous mixed grills, tender veal and locally sourced traditional roasted lamb. Some of the best wines Serbia has to offer will be served. The welcoming Proprietor and his friendly staff will do their best to make you feel at home. There are menus that have been translated into English, and a spacious terrace for Al fresco dining in the warm summer evenings. Bon appetit! Or "prijatno" in Serbian.
